Managing Object-Oriented Development Projects
(3 days)

Overview

Managing Object-Oriented Development Projects covers all aspects of managing object-oriented development projects, from inception through delivery and deployment. The process of managing object-oriented development efforts has been recognized to be significantly different from managing traditional development efforts - so much so, in fact, that using traditional management techniques raises the risk on a project to the point where failure is almost guaranteed. Differences exist in the deliverables, the tools, the project organization, the emphasis of the developers and more. This course presents the techniques that should be utilized for the developkment of object-oriented projects, along with some examples of what not to do, what the consequences are, and how to extricate yourself from those situations if you find yourself there.
